Honey Sriracha Garlic Chicken

This sauce…a little sweet…a little heat…and garlic! If this sauce sounds familiar you’re right! It is the same sauce recipe I use on my Honey Sriracha Garlic Meatballs, yum! It works so well on this chicken, and would be great on chicken breast too! If you’re not a sriracha heat fan you can reduce that amount and would just be more sweet than spicy.

The sauce comes together in no time, and the oven does the rest! I had leftovers for lunch the next day and they were just as delicious re-heated!

Great served with your favorite vegetable, over rice, or mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 6 pcs bone-in, skin-on chicken legs
  • 4 pcs bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp sriracha
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • chopped parsley optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Season the chicken legs and thighs with salt and pepper.

  2. Whisk together brown sugar, sriracha, ketchup, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Pour a small amount of the sauce in a 9x13 baking dish. Arrange the legs and thighs in the baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over the chicken. Bake for 45 minutes.

  3. Turn up the heat to 425 degrees and cook for another 10-15 minutes. If you want to crisp and caramelize the skin you can turn the broiler on for a couple minutes. Watch closely to avoid burning, it won't take long!

  4. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or with your favorite vegetables, enjoy!
