Sloppy Joe Nachos with Caramelized Onions and Avocado Crema
These sloppy joe nachos with caramelized onions and avocado crema are just plain delicious! I don’t know anyone that doesn’t like sloppy joes, and I definitely don’t know anyone that doesn’t like nachos, so why not enjoy them together! I used my simple and delicious Sweet and Spicy Turkey Sloppy Joe recipe for the sloppy part. I normally like to add crispy fried onions to my sloppys so I thought sweet caramelized onions would go perfectly on these, especially since you’re already getting the crunch from the tortilla chips. They add such AMAZING flavor, I highly recommend not omitting them!
The avocado crema is suuuuper simple to make and adds the perfect amount of refreshing, cool creaminess; great on tacos too! The rest of the toppings are the old trusty fresh ingredients like lettuce, tomato, jalapeno for heat, and of course cheese! Baking the nachos helps to keep the chips nice and crisp.
These are a meal all alone, or perfect for sharing as a party snack or game day grub! Try some of my other favorite sloppy joe recipes below:

Instructions
For the caramelized onions

Heat olive oil over med-high heat in a non-stick skillet. Add sliced onions, and cook on med to med-low until soft and brown in color, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Turn off heat when they reach desired doneness.
