Easy Grilled Chicken Wings

Move over chicken breasts, these easy grilled chicken wings are going to be on my grill all summer! I made these using Char Crust® Dry-Rub Seasonings and fell in love with all of them!

This post is sponsored by Char Crust® but all opinions and reviews are 100% my own.

I used four flavors when making these grilled chicken wings: Roasted Garlic Peppercorn, Southwest Chipotle, All American Barbecue, and Original Hickory Grilled. Honestly I LOVED them all. I was afraid of them being overly salty, but they were spot on. They offer TEN different flavors online, and definitely can’t wait to try some more. I think the hickory might be my favorite, but seriously all so delish!

I wanted to use all four flavors, so divided my 4-5 pounds of wings into four equal amounts, and generously covered all wings with the seasonings. This helps to seal in the juices for maximum flavor!

When you place the wings on the grill, keep them close together, this helps them to cook evenly and allows them to steam which prevents them from drying out. Flip the wings every 5 minutes with a total grill time of 20 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

These dry rubs make an awesome gift…hello Father’s Day is around the corner! A family grill-out is almost always how we celebrate Father’s Day, so what better gift than some dry rubs! They’ll last all summer long so you can try them on all of your favorite proteins. Or if you’ve got friends or family summer birthdays, these are perfect!

I was honestly so happy with how these turned out. Erik and I both loved them, and did not miss a sauce. The dry rub, plus the char, plus the juicy chicken was perfect. Looking forward to trying it on some burgers and kabobs next!

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsps per lb Char Crust® Dry-rub seasoning
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing for serving
  • Carrots and celery for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill to 350°. Gently pat the wings with a paper towel to remove excess liquid.

  2. If using more than one dry-rub, divide the wings into batches for however many dry-rubs you have. Place wings in large mixing bowl, and toss in dry-rub. For 8-10 wings I used about 2 tablespoons of dry rub, enough to generously coat the wings. Repeat with other dry-rub flavors if desired.

  3. Place all wings onto grill, keeping them close together. Grill in total for about 20 minutes, turning the wings every 5 minutes. Internal temperature should reach 165°.

  4. Serve with fresh veggies, and your favorite ranch or blue cheese. Wings are delicious on their own too!

Recipe Notes

Find the link to the dry rubs I used in the blog post. I used four different kinds and they were SO GOOD. Not overly salty, perfect flavors for wings but can be used on any protein.
