Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 6-8 minutes. Discard tea bags.
In a separate saucepan add the raspberries, blackberries, and 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 3-5 minutes stirring and mashing occasionally. Strain the mixture into a medium heat proof bowl. Discard the pulp and seeds.
In a pitcher combine the tea, berry juice, juice of 1 lemon, and an additional 4 cups of water. Stir, chill, and serve over ice.
Make it a cocktail and mix with your favorite vodka.
Garnish with fresh berries or lemon wedges.
